What We Did on Big Days of Serving!

The 160+ participants in last month’s 9 Big Days of Serving projects were able to: paint fencing and equipment at the Palatine Park District stables; help a local homeowner by power-washing their house, stripping/painting the trim, and clearing the yard of brush; provide at least 10 children with handmade hats and scarves; restock the church pews and mulch the church tree and flower beds; provide handtied blankets and generous gift cards to help about 45 families recover from the Prospect Heights fire; pack months’ worth of meals for children in need overseas; and provide a hearty meal and friendly conversation to 50+ people struggling through homelessness. Wow! Many were blessed by God’s goodness and the generous hearts and hands of the St. Peter family. Our thanks also to the individuals and organizations that partnered with us to make these projects possible.
