For nearly 500 years (1529), Martin Luther's Small Catechism has served as an instructional booklet for households and pastors alike. Drawn from the pages of Scripture, Luther distilled the essence of Christianity into Six Chief Parts: the Ten Commandments, the Apostles' Creed, the Lord's Prayer, Holy Baptism, Confession and Absolution, and Holy Communion. To this day, the Six Chief Parts expound the core of our Lutheran identity and faith as Jesus-followers. Exploring one part each week, we'll venture deeper into the nucleus of our Christian faith.
